Lately, the Audubon community has had a number of restaurants come and go. When most of these businesses open, they have plenty of frequent customers. After awhile, people stop coming, don’t go out to eat as much, or leave town to dine out.
In Audubon there are Italian choices, deli, American or café food and an ice cream shop. The community is missing Mexican, Chinese, seafood, and steakhouse options. Many people are leaving town and going to Carroll, Atlantic or anywhere else to eat out, making it hard for more restaurants to thrive and be successful in Audubon. If the town wants a larger variety of restaurants to choose from, then the community needs to dine local. For area restaurants and other businesses to succeed, they need the help from the residents.
A new restaurant is coming to town that provides a Mexican, American, and Italian menu. The owner has owned other family-operated businesses with his brother. They have been successful and will hopefully be successful in Audubon.
Faith Fliflet, a senior at Audubon High School, mentioned that her family goes out to eat often. Within a month they have already gone to all the choices around town. Faith and her mom, Jennifer Fliflet, agree that Audubon needs more selection.
