Now that December has started, it is time to start exciting holiday traditions with family. Whether you love or loathe them, there’s really no way of evading them. Some families have different holiday traditions, and to elaborate on this, a few Audubon High School students were asked what their family does for the holidays.
Cami Wagner, a freshman at AHS said, “My family usually gets together, we eat food and open presents. We have always done it, I guess my ancestors got together and partied. It's a lot of fun."
David Graeve, another freshman at AHS said jokingly, “We put up our tree. I’m not sure why we do it; we have done it every year since I remember....Basically Santa wanted to put presents under our tree, so we put up the tree.” That sounds like a pretty good reason to put up a Christmas tree.
Graeve said, “It’s [his family tradition] fun for me. When I move out, I will keep the tradition going.” Some people love and some people hate holiday traditions, but either way they seem to bring families together everywhere.
