The annual Audubon Band Smorgasbord is quickly approaching and will take place on Sunday, Nov. 10 in the high school cafeteria from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Senior, Maddie Christensen, stated, “The meal is going to be a little different this year. Instead of the usual ham and turkey dinner, we are serving a Harvest Brunch.” The brunch includes: scrambled eggs, sausage links, hash-browns, biscuits and gravy, cinnamon rolls, mixed fruit, orange juice, milk and coffee. The tickets are only $7 for adults and $4 for children 10 years old and under.
The band also has a few upcoming events to be looking forward to. On Nov. 11, the band will be playing at the Veterans Day program at Audubon High School. The junior high SWIBA honor band members will also perform on Nov. 15 in Council Bluffs. Pep band at the girls and boys basketball games will begin in late November. The band is also practicing music for the Christmas concert coming up on Dec. 9. The members of the band are working hard on many different events; one way you can support them is by buying a ticket and enjoying their Harvest Brunch on Sunday, Nov. 10.
