Everyone knows it’s Christmas time as soon as the car turns on and the radio station starts to play all those lovely Christmas tunes. Are the fall holidays such as Halloween and Thanksgiving being rushed over in the hurry to get to Christmas? But with the holiday music playing on repeat for a month or more does it get people in the Christmas spirit or burnt out before the presents are unwrapped? And what about all those over-played pop songs?
Elijah Zaiger said, “I don’t like all the over-played songs. The radio stations need to get new material to keep people listening to the station.” Zaiger isn't a big fan of Christmas music either, he said, ”I don’t really like Christmas music that much. It should start to play around two weeks before, not a whole month before Christmas.”
On the other hand, Emily Hemmingsen loves anything that has to do with Christmas. Hemmingsen said, “Yes, all the over-played songs on the radio get annoying, but I love all the Christmas music.” Everything from the lights to the decorations, puts her in the Christmas spirit. Hemmingsen said, “I wanted Christmas to come again right after last year’s Christmas got over.” Also, Hemmingsen said, “My favorite Christmas songs are from the artists Michael Buble and Kelly Clarkson.” She also loves all the other fun tradition holiday music like “Frosty the Snowman” and “Deck the Halls.”
Christmas music may be a bit rushed and over-played at times, but it does put some people in the holiday mood. Christmas music will never get old for some people because they just love the thought of Christmas too much.
